Description
The Tigers Eye gemstone is frequently used in Modernist jewellery. This ring has a nice old natural Tigers Eye. It’s chatoyancy (shimmer) moves from quite a bright orange through to a very dark brown.
The cabochon is claw set onto a solid silver band. The band has a retro organic bark effect.
🔸 This ring weighs 4.7 grams
🔸 The natural Tigers Eye cabochon is 10.7mm long, 8.3mm wide & 3.8mm deep.
🔸 The band of the silver ring is 3mm wide at rear widening to 8.8mm wide at the shoulder
🔸 The projection (height it stands off your finger) is 6.4mm
🔸 This ring is Size N (UK/AU) Size 6.75 (US)
🔸 It is stamped ‘SILVER’ to the inside of the band.
This ring is vintage & used. We expect 50 years old. It is in good condition with no noticeable damage. The ‘Silver’ stamp is heavily worn on the inside of the band. The is some tarnishing in the bark effect but this could be removed with a deep clean, if that’s what you like.
