An outstanding 1970s statement ring designed by Wally Morgan, this bold vintage piece features an exceptionally large oval cabochon Tigers Eye, bezel set into a thick, solid sterling silver mount. Handmade and substantial, this ring embodies the dramatic retro styling of the period.
The Tigers Eye is impressively smooth with strong golden-brown chatoyancy that flashes in daylight. Its surface is tactile, showing signs of gentle rubbing from over five decades of wear. Measuring over 4cm in length, it makes a striking presence on the hand.
Fully hallmarked for London, 1972, with the traditional English lion passant and date letter, this ring also carries the maker’s mark WM(D) for Wally Morgan Designs, known for quality craftsmanship in the early 1970s.
