Retro Sterling Silver Ring Oval Gem Stone London 1970s
This striking vintage ring from 1974 showcases a captivating natural Tiger’s Eye, set in a bold modernist sterling silver design. The rich golden-brown cabochon displays mesmerising chatoyancy, with a shimmering gold flash that shifts beautifully in the light. A classic example of 1970s jewellery, this piece features a sculptural ‘drop’ setting and a wide, polished silver band, making it a statement piece with a unique presence.
Fully hallmarked with English assay marks, including the lion passant for sterling silver and the date letter t, confirming its creation in London in 1974. The maker’s mark Se is also present, though the jeweller remains unidentified.
The design is perfect for daily wear, with the bezel-set gemstone providing excellent protection. Comfortable and well-balanced, this ring is an effortless blend of vintage style and durability.
