Vintage 9ct rolled gold wide bangle by Henry Griffith & Sons, with heavy solid construction, floral engraving, secure clasp & rich mid century gold colour.
This beautiful vintage rolled gold bangle has a wonderfully bold look, with a wide, substantial profile and richly engraved floral scrollwork across the front. The design has a classic mid century feel, with elegant fleur-de-lis inspired detailing and a warm gold tone that gives it real vintage presence.
Made by H.G&S, Henry Griffith & Sons, this bangle is stamped 1/20 9CTRG PATENT NO. 897224. Henry Griffith & Sons were long-established Birmingham jewellery makers, active from 1850–1982, and this piece is likely from their 1950s heyday.
The bangle is solid rather than hollow, giving it a reassuringly weighty feel at 42.5g. It also has a secure press-button catch and safety bar opening, making it practical to wear as well as beautifully decorative. A fantastic statement bangle for anyone who loves heavy vintage gold jewellery without the solid gold price tag.
