Modernist Ruby Cluster 18K Yellow Gold Cocktail Ring London 1960s

£1,250.00

Designer Burmese Ruby Cluster Ring Heavy Gold

An exceptional example of mid-century design, this vintage 18K yellow gold cocktail ring draws inspiration from Andrew Grima’s iconic organic forms. Crafted in the 1960s, its dramatic coral-like structure showcases a cluster of deep reddish-purple Burmese Rubies, nestled within a sculptural, fan-shaped gallery that flows in bold textured layers.

The ring features 11 round-cut Rubies, each approximately 2.6mm in diameter, secured with contrasting platinum claws for added brilliance and durability. The rich high-carat gold has a beautiful buttery glow, with its form creating a dynamic burst effect reminiscent of sea anemones or abstract flowers.

With a weight of 10g, it is crafted from solid 18ct yellow gold and fits comfortably despite its statement silhouette. Though its original hallmarks are heavily worn from decades of wear, the ring has been acid tested to confirm 18K purity.
