This exquisite late Victorian Lavalier pendant, dating from the 1890s, is a quintessential example of Art Nouveau organic design. Crafted in 9ct yellow gold by the prestigious Birmingham makers Bacon & Bill, it features delicate gold leaves and a striking blackened inner band that provides a dramatic contrast to the rich, deep red of the gemstones.
The design showcases two round-cut garnets: one central stone and a graceful garnet drop that adds elegant movement to the piece. This 130-year-old pendant perfectly captures the flowing, nature-inspired aesthetic of the era and is durable enough for daily wear.
