Retro Mid Century Heavy Metal Necklace from Sweden with Blue Gem Stone
A real statement piece. This hefty pewter medallion comes from Sweden, likely made in the 1960s – 1970s.
Typical of the period, it is very chunky. I suspect an abstract flower, complete with 8 prong petals. In the middle of the pendant is a sphere of blue banded agate that has been highly polished. The natural Agate is 10mm in diameter.
This pendant has a name etched into it – Alva Jansa. We assume this to be the makers mark but we can find no record.
This pendant comes complete with a heavy link chain measuring 24” long. There is no catch – you simply slip it over your head.
⭐ This modernist pewter pendant weighs a heavy 35 grams including chain.
⭐ The pendant measures 41.7mm in diameter.
⭐ It is 12.3mm deep.
This retro necklace from Sweden is vintage & pre-owned. It is likely 50 years old. It is very robust & in great condition as a result. There is the odd mark but nothing noteworthy.
