1980s Italian Necklace Solid Silver Oval Gold Gem Stone
An elegant Italian solid silver pendant & chain with some traditional Italian styling. This pendant is very ‘modern’ 1980s style – striking colours alongside old fashioned, with its twisted barley arms.
The central oval panel is clear glass with it appears gold shavings within it, giving bright colours. It mimics a natural rutile quartz. It is perhaps Venetian glass?
There is a rectangular panel of good quality Mother or Pear, that has a great lustre.
There is a nice heavy 24” chain with Singapore links – this really catches the eye.
This necklace is stamped 158 AR 925 ITALY
This is the factory number in Arezzo, Italy, it’s an area known for jewellers. Factory 158 in Arezzo is currently Golden Clef, although it is unlikely they made this pendant.
The 925 is for sterling silver.
