This elegant sterling silver hinged bangle features an openwork Celtic knot design with flowing interlaced detailing around the band. Dating stylistically to around the 1980s, it has the look of an Art Nouveau revival piece while drawing strongly on traditional Celtic knotwork.
The bracelet is lightweight and easy to wear, with a clever lift-up catch and an intact safety chain for extra security. The pierced design gives the bangle a delicate appearance while still creating plenty of visual interest on the wrist.
Celtic knotwork is traditionally associated with ideas of continuity, eternity and interconnectedness, thanks to its continuous interwoven lines.
The bangle carries 925 sterling silver marks, including a scales mark.
