Description
A stunning classic. This enamel butterfly is by renowned designer Hroar Prydz.
This brooch is an early example (the factory was taken over in 1950) & has gold gilt highlights. Further, it is the small version at only 24mm wide!
The enamelling is exquisite, using guilloche method to create veins in the wings. Considering the size this is quite a feat.
It is fully signed with the Hroar Prydz stamp. It is also stamped Sterling, 925, S. The pin is stamped ‘metal’.
Further, the is a serial number hand etched into the back of the brooch: R820A39NC
This small brooch comes complete in its original box, from Pearce & Sons in Leeds.
