Description
Exceptional Modernist silver ring with stylish claw set Tigers Eye cabochon. This Tigers eye has a great colour – very dramatic with a dark brown background & a bright orange streak. It actually looks a little like a cats eye.
Tigers Eye is the common name for a Pseudocrocidolite – this is a metamorphic rock with golden-yellow fibrous quartz running through it.
This ring is fully hallmarked. It was designed by Toye, Kenning & Spencer. This is an English jeweller based in Convent Garden established in 1685!
Hallmarks are: Anchor for Birmingham Assay Office, The British Lion Passant, Date Letter C for 1977. Makers Mark – TK&S for Toye, Kenning & Spencer
