Vintage Ruby Cluster Ring in Yellow 18ct Gold attrib. Andrew Grima 1960s
£3,800.00 £3,420.00
A simply amazing ring. It is a high design 18ct gold ring with an organic fan form. I think it is perhaps coral or a sea anemone – definitely nature themed.
The rings beautiful forms nestles 8 round cut natural Ruby each measuring 2.6mm in diameter. The ruby colour is deep red to purple – the correct colour for Burmese Rubies. Often described as pigeon blood shade.
This ring is substantial & heavy at 10 grams. The 18ct gold has a deep yellow colour, with platinum claws holding the rubies.
Whilst this ring did have hallmarks, they are now unreadable. Unfortunately, a side effect of 18ct gold being very soft. The hallmarks have worn away.
We are attributing this ring to Andrew Grima. This is not a ‘we wish’ attribution. The form has a typically Grima organic and abstract feel. Further, the style of engineering used is very similar other Grima rings; this ring has a smooth back with hidden vertical fingers supporting the front.

This 18ct gold ruby ring is Vintage & has prior lovers. We estimate it was made in the 1960s & is around 60 years old. The hallmarks are heavily worn. There are some scuffs to the gold band as you would imagine. The rubies are well protected & appear perfect. This ring is in very good condition.
