Aventurine Modernist Silver Ring Hallmarked Sheffield, England 1974

Here we have a 1970’s solid silver ring. Very much of the period, it has a large Aventurine cabochon stone sat proudly upon a heavy solid silver band.

The natural Aventurine is nice and large, showing all typical character. An Aventurine is essentially a translucent quartz, with mineral inclusions. These inclusions are mica, giving the stone a shimmer in light.

⭐ 4 Hallmarks: British Lion for sterling 925 silver, a crown for Sheffield UK, makers mark JM in a shield, and the date letter G – this is for 1974.

⭐ The Aventurine cabochon measures 20mm x 16mm and is 10mm deep.

⭐ The ring weighs 9 grams.

⭐ The band width is a chunky 5mm.

⭐ This ring has been worn but is in very good condition.

⭐ This stone in this ring is bezel set.

⭐ Aventurine is not fragile. As such this ring is very hardy and can be worn daily.
