Antique Victorian Turquoise Seed Pearl Ring in 18ct Yellow Gold
£355.00 £319.50
Antique yellow gold ring blue white gem stones
A beautiful old ring, in a typical early Victorian style, with sweeping scrolls. This ring was likely made in England around 1860.
The scrolls of this ring hold a central natural Turquoise cabochon alongside graduated seed pearls. To me it has a starburst effect, accentuated by the heavy claws holding the gemstones.
The Turquoise cabochon measures 3.7mm in diameter. The larger seed pearls are 2.6mm in diameter. There are 12 smaller pearls measuring approx. 1.2mm in diameter.
The gold band is fairly thick. The gold of this ring is a lovely deep colour. The hallmarks have typically worn away, as high carat gold is very soft. We have acid tested this ring & can confirm it is 18ct plus – we estimate 20ct gold.
⭐ This Victorian gold ring ring weighs 1.4 grams
⭐ It is currently size K (UK & AU) / Size 5.25 (US) / Size 50 (EU). We cannot enlarge this ring, due to design.
⭐ The ring band is 2.9mm wide at rear
⭐ The ring projection (height on finger) is 3.3mm
⭐ Care should be taken with this ring. Pearls are soft & susceptible to damage in hot water.
This gold ring with pearls & turquoise is Antique & has many previous owners. It was made over 150 years ago. It is in good condition considering age. The hallmarks are heavily worn. There is signs of the ring being resized some time ago. The gemstones are all present & in good condition.
