This rare and captivating vintage ring, likely dating from the 1970s, features a stunning bi-colour “Parti” Sapphire as its centrepiece.
The 8.8mm oval gemstone displays a unique transition of teal, forest green, and deep blue sections—a natural phenomenon where different colours coexist in a single crystal. It is encircled by a halo of 14 natural white Zircons, a traditional gemstone noted for its high refractive index and “fire,” providing a brilliant sparkle that rivals diamonds.
The ring is built with a thick, solid 9ct yellow gold band and a contrasting white gold gallery to enhance the clarity of the Zircons. Hallmarked at the London Assay Office with the maker’s mark ‘H & RP’, this piece is a substantial and unusual example of mid-century gemstone jewellery.
