This stunning original Art Deco ring, dating from the 1920s, is a beautiful example of early 20th-century “costume luxe.” It features a vibrant 6.3mm bright green paste stone at its centre, designed to mimic the lush hue of a fine emerald. This is encircled by a halo of ten clear paste stones that replicate the sparkle of diamonds, all set in a traditional silver mount atop a 9ct yellow gold band.
The ring showcases intricate beadwork and a low-profile gallery typical of the Art Deco period. Stamped “9ct & SIL,” it represents a style where precious metals were paired with high-quality glass “paste” to create glamorous, high-fashion looks during the Roaring Twenties.
